Power of Thoughts

In a world that everyone has an opinion, and wants to be heard, it saddens me more to see how much hostility and attacks can happen when someone just wants to share a thought.

The power of thought that is embraced can lead to change.

 

Change the way you think

My personal background, in my early years, before I claimed my own independence had included being in a very negative and hostile environment.

I know from my own experience how important and influential it is to surround yourself and or immerse yourself in things that can help have a strong mind, and pursuing positivity truly is the key.    You do not ever have to be bound to being or becoming what someone else has tried to tell you would or should be.

Living your life to be happy is completely up to you.

You are in charge of your thoughts.

Your thoughts are what can lead you to places that you never could of dreamt of going to….or…living a life that you went against the “odds” to achieve

 

Guard Your Mental Health Through Covid-19

I have to share that during this 2020 Corona Pandemic has been a real test for all of us, the planet, and our livelihoods.    I can share with you that I had so much of an interest in science, however, I was not ever very good at math.

I was drawn to be a hairstylist since I was about 8 years old, but some of my favorite classes in school were:

  • Sociology
  • Anatomy
  • Physiology

Did you know that your thoughts can really affect how you physically feel?

As I’m not in the medical field, have you ever thought about the best day of your life, and how does that make you feel?

Have you ever watched a VERY NEGATIVE NEWS STORY?   How did or does that make you feel.

 

T.V. News Headlines – Fastforward To Enjoy Your Life

My younger years could have had me look at the world as being just a very dark and broken place.  I could of adopted the dysfunctional ideas and ideals from another human being, but I didn’t.

My one loving parent had passed away, and the rest of the dysfunctional days were similar to the negative headlines, that are in the news, and most recently I have become like “Momma Bear” about help others become aware of the tactics that the news are using to “keep us (informed?)… how about scared.

I think it is fair to say that this 2020 Covid-19 has been a complete interrupter for everyone and to everything that our own routines, that can provide us our sense of security.

 

Turn Off The Negative Commercials…turn on a Positive Mindset

About a week ago, you will find that the first step that I took to regroup to lessen the “negativity” in my own life was to “deactivate” my Facebook App icon on my Note 10.    I found that I was still scrolling too much, and I do love “staying connected” however my feed has become not a fun space or enjoyable, but yet I found myself still scrolling.

Without the app so accessible, I have been getting more things done.   For instance, writing this article that I hope will help you or someone.

On the topic of our local media, I have had a great “positive” relationship for years, however in light of the last 3 months of this pandemic, and my business just being allowed to reopen has made me look at that medium very, very differently.

As my business had been shut down, I was tuning in for my “happy beginning”  (not ending) of my business getting to reopen.    I heard in the past that “you are what you eat”, and boy….how about your thoughts can be so influenced by external sources……..but….only if you let them.

I feel that I have more empathy and understanding for people during this time, if they never had a dark upbringing.  Because the T.V. and Media could really scare the crap out of you.

 

Turn On Your Positive Mindset

If you are someone that has heard the terms “mindset” but figured that maybe it was just a bunch of kool-aid drinking people that do not really “know what life is about”, then I hope this article has evoked one of your thoughts to explore it more.

Ask yourself this?     What is the outcome of the negativity that news outlets share?

Are those stories helping you?

Are they making your business stronger?

Are they bringing your family closer together?

Not all of the media is bad….there are times there are “investigative reports that truly uncover” more dysfunction, however, if you averaged the amount of airtime that was given to the positive……it’s not much.

 

Jumpstart Your Day!

Our small little handheld devices are so needy!    hahahha

It’s like they control our arm before we are fully awake.    The alarm goes off, and the arm goes out, and what does your arm do?    I bet it grabs your phone, right?

Let the “scrolling NOT begin”.

I wish I could tell you exactly what it was that lead me down the path of creating a daily routine of “jumpstarting” my day with a daily dose of mindfulness but here is what I have found very helpful:

  • Don’t check your electronics right away
  • Put on something that is motivational to you
  • Find an uplifting podcast
  • Maybe tune into Tony Robbins
  • Get Moving and Exercise!!

I had come across Fearless Motivation that really had spoken to me about “getting things done”, and the tracks are fantastic to walk to.

Don’t Have Time?

Make the time….everyday to put yourself first, and even if it is only for 10 minutes, you will set yourself up to be ready for your day or the day that life will give you.

VISUALIZE making “happy time” for yourself and with yourself, that is uninterrupted by anything or anyone that may not be on the same “channel” as you.

Because….Life Is Not a Topic.
And you are in CONTROL of writing your own headlines, and what “your story can be” for every day.

 

Life is not a topic.

Life is meant to be lived.

Live if Life without commercials.

Your life and Your mind….what a beautiful movie.
